Women's Football All Star nominationsAll-Ireland champions Cork dominate the nominations (10) for the 2007 women's football All Stars. The All Star team will be announced at a ceremony at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin, on Saturday, November 17th.

Among the Cork players nominated are midfield pair Juliet Murphy and Norita Kelly, forward Valerie Mulcahy and dual stars Rena Buckley and Briege Corkery. All-Ireland finalists and Connacht champions Mayo are rewarded with six nominations, including championship top scorer Cora Staunton, full-back Helena Lohan and midfielder Claire Egan.

Ulster champions Armagh get only two nominations after exiting in the quarter-finals at the hands of Ulster runners-up Tyrone, who receive four.

Leinster champions Laois also get four nominations while Intermediate All-Ireland champions Leitrim are rewarded with five nominations, including veteran Maeve Quinn. Wexford get three nominations, Meath three and Waterford two.
