Munster Junior Cup Semi-final CBC Cork 17 Rockwell College 10Three second-half tries - from Ian O'Gorman, Mark Carroll and Thomas Harrington - capped a superb comeback from Christian Brothers College in this Avonmore Junior Cup semi-final at Clonmel RFC yesterday.

Outhalf Paul McEvoy got the scoreboard ticking for Rockwell on eight minutes with a penalty.

In the 16th minute the same player's Garryowen into the CBC 22 prompted a collision between two Christians players. Gavin Ryan kicked the breaking ball ahead and won the race for the try. McEvoy converted and, with the score at 10-nil, an upset looked on the cards.

But the introduction by CBC of Darragh Dunne in the centre changed the balance of power. After just two minutes he took a great pass from Bryan O'Leary to dart to within five metres of the Rockwell line and O'Gorman picked from the base of the ruck and drove over for a try.

On 55 minutes, a huge Dunne clearance to touch from inside his half led to a lineout from which Carroll was driven over. And deep in injury time Harrington took advantage of an ill-judged Rockwell long pass to score his side's third try.
