Clare 1-13 UCC 0-13:IT WAS a case of revenge for last year, when Clare lost out by three points to the same opposition at the same stage in the competition at the same venue, Cooraclare.

Yesterday, UCC led by 0-11 to 1-5 at the break, thanks to nine frees by Daithí Casey.

Clare’s goal was scored in the 17th minute from close range by full forward Timmy Ryan and this score gave the hosts the impetus to put in a dogged second-half display and eke out a merited victory.
