Clare 0-13 Limerick IT 0-12:THE YELLOW carding of Joe Canning seven minutes from the end was costly as Clare squeezed past Limerick IT at Meelick yesterday. Limerick IT led by 0-8 to 0-4 at half-time with five of their scores coming from Canning frees.
Clare improved in the second half and Tony Carmody levelled and Conor Plunkett sent over a free from 70 yards to give Clare a one-point lead three minutes from the end.
In the final seconds LIT were awarded a free in front of the posts and it seemed extra-time would be required but Callinan slipped as he struck the ball and it was saved.
