Glenflesk advanced to the final of the Millennium Cup after an enthralling encounter with East Kerry neighbours Currow on Saturday. It took extra time to decide the issue at Dr Crokes in a game that was full of flowing football.

The main difference between the sides was the imperious display by GPA footballer of the year Seamus Moynihan, who displayed all his greatness to lift Glenflesk in the closing stages.

The sides were deadlocked at 0-12 each when Currow launched an assault on the Glenflesk goal. Denis Dennehy gained possession just 30 yards out on the right and shot for goal - only to see midfielder Moynihan pop up and dive full length and effect a brilliant blockdown. The ball broke to Currow's Seamus Scanlon, but Moynihan made another superb block.

The sides were still level, 0-15 each, with just five minutes remaining but Glenflesk made it through with four late points.
