Clongowes Wood - 15 Castlenock College - 7: Four tries scored in a 17-minute period either side of half-time was the story of this tie at Westmanstown yesterday.

In the 25th minute Clongowes' full back Joe Ryan broke the deadlock when he crossed for a try.

Castleknock prop Martin Moore responded with a push-over try, with Philip Carroll converting.

Cillian Gowan restored Clongowes' lead when he touched down to make it 10-7.

Michael Sheehy completed the scoring to put Clongowes ahead by 15-7 and Castleknock never threatened thereafter.
