The English FA Cup third-round replay between second division Notts County and first division Wimbledon was postponed for the second time yesterday.
Notts County's Meadow Lane ground was waterlogged and the game was called off at 7 p.m., 45 minutes before the scheduled kick-off.
Last week the game was abandoned because of fog five minutes into the second half with the scores level at 1-1 while the original match on January 6th was a 2-2 draw. The teams are likely to try again on Saturday, with the winners going through to play Middlesbrough in the fourth round.
After a late pitch inspection Third Division Scunthorpe claimed the scalp of First Division Burnley with a dramatic 54 penalty shoot-out victory at Glanford Park last night. The sides were level at 1-1 after extra-time and the ground erupted when Kevin Ball blasted Burnley's sixth penalty over the bar to hand the home side a fourth round away tie at Bolton.
