DUBLIN SFC:INTERNATIONAL RULES boss Anthony Tohill will be sweating over the availability of Stephen Cluxton for the forthcoming series after the latter's club, Parnells, advanced to next Saturday's quarter-final against Ballymun Kickhams in Parnell Park

Parnells defeated St Sylvesters 1-18 to 2-9 in extra-time and attempts by one reporter to get a word out of Cluxton after yesterday’s game in Lawless Park drew a typically short response.

Cluxton had produced a full -length save to deny Louth forward Darren Clarke early in the second half after the teams had gone in level in the first half.

Sylvesters hit the front on 34 minutes when Westmeath’s David Glennon finished off a fine team move from just outside the square.

Parnells hit the crucial score six minutes into the first period of extra time when Niall Collins converted at the far post and from there on Brian Talty’s men were never troubled.

Crokes led by 0-4 to 0-2 at half-time with Brigid’s goalkeeper Shane Supple producing two excellent saves to deny Mark Vaughan and Barry O’Rorke.
