Limerick 0-13 Leitrim 0-11: Mickey Ned O'Sullivan steered Limerick back to top-flight football next season after a nerve-racking late victory over Leitrim at the Gaelic Grounds.
It was left to captain Muiris Gavin and Seánie Buckley to snatch the match-winning points, after the visitors had clawed back a seven-point deficit to draw level at 0-11 each with three minutes left.
With Roscommon losing out to Donegal, the Shannonsiders snatched the second promotion spot - and a place in the Division Two semi-finals.
Gavin, starting for the first time this season, slotted over two frees, and with the wind, Limerick looked comfortable at 0-9 to 0-3 at the break.
It was, however, a different story on the change of ends, and Ciarán Duignan's accuracy from frees had Leitrim very much back in contention at 0-11 to 0-8 after 50 minutes.
Duignan, Donal Brennan and Mick Foley restored equality, before Limerick somehow found new reserves of energy and Gavin and Buckley provided the vital scores.
