EUROPEAN UNDER-21 QUALIFYING Georgia v Republic of Ireland: THE REPUBLIC of Ireland under-21 side face a testing trip to eastern Europe this week but Séamus Coleman is in no way fazed by the challenge.

The 21-year-old Killybegs native was thrown in at the deep end for his Everton debut in a 5-0 defeat to Benfica in the Europa League.

So while he anticipates a tough test in Tbilisi against Georgia today and Armenia on Tuesday, the defender is confident he will be ready to cope. “We really should have done better than draw our last three games. Georgia were a decent side when we played them in Tallaght, but if we’d taken our chances we could have won 5-1,” said Coleman.
