Connacht name Ross Connacht's misgivings over Warren Gatland's move to greener pastures are likely to be assuaged by his replacement with another from Ireland's Waikato connection in the highly regarded Glenn Ross.

The 42-year-old former Waikato coach was one of the youngest products of the New Zealand coaching system, and along with Wayne Shelford, was instrumental in transforming Northampton in the early 1990s. It is believed that he has been lined up for the full-time role as Connacht's new director of rugby for the forthcoming season.
