Connacht 26 Edinburgh 13:FORMER IRISH and Munster scrumhalf Michael Bradley has ruled himself out of the Munster job. "I am working with Edinburgh and I am at the start of a two-year contract, so it is not really an issue for me at the moment," he said.

Edinburgh outhalf Gregor Hunter missed a 13th-minute penalty, while counterpart Niall O’Connor nailed his 21st-minute effort. The breakthrough came after a big Connacht scrum and scrumhalf Frank Murphy was quick to grab possession before Fetu Vainikolo raced through to touch down for a 10-0 lead.

O’Connor extended their lead early in the second half to 13-0. Edinburgh opened their scoring within two minutes when Tim Visser pounced for his 15th try of the season. Connacht looked safe when Edinburgh’s Tom Brown was sinbinned, and O’Connor hit another three points. Bradley’s outfit were not done. Fullback Chris Paterson ran in for a try, with Phil Godman’s conversion hitting the upright, and when the replacement outhalf struck a 50th-minute penalty, Connacht’s lead was down to three. However, Matthew Jarvis hit a 68th-minute penalty, and with the last play Connacht denied their visitors a bonus point when Mike McCarthy sealed their victory, with Jarvis adding the extras.
