Former Australian under-21 international Kylie McEniery was the heroine for Corinthian on Saturday when her goal, after just three minutes, proved enough to give last season's Senior B champions a surprise 1-0 win over Old Alexandra in the second round of the Coca Cola Leinster Senior Cup.

Corinthian's reward for defeating the cup winners of two seasons ago is a quarter-final draw against the victors of tonight's tie between Loreto II and UCD. Senior B's Clontarf might feel they deserved better luck in the draw after their win over Glenanne on Saturday - they've been paired with Hermes. Grainne Leahy and Nikki Berney got Clontarf's goals, in a 2-1 win, against Senior A's bottom club.

Mary Logue, Jenny Burke and Linda Caulfield, against her former club, gave Hermes a 3-1 win over Trinity while Hermes' seconds set up a quarter-final meeting with Loreto after beating Our Ladys 3-0, with Maureen Flavin scoring twice.

Loreto were the day's top scorers with nine goals against Old Alexandra II - Cathy McKean and Caitriona O'Kelly scored a hat-trick apiece - while Pembroke Wanderers also advanced to the quarter-finals with ease, beating Avoca 4-0. They play Railway Union, for whom Emma Smyth scored a hat-trick in Saturday's 3-0 win over Aer Lingus, in the next round.

In yesterday's Leinster League ties Genesis conceded their first goal of their Division One campaign in a 1-0 defeat by Hermes - Daphne Sixsmith got the winner three minutes into the second half - while Loreto beat Corinthian 3-0 and Sinead Dunphy's first senior goal, 10 minutes from time, gave Trinity a 1-0 win over Railway Union.

At the under-16 and under-18 interprovincial tournament in Cork Munster denied Ulster a repeat of last year's double when they snatched the junior title with a 1-0 win over South East in the final game of the day at Farmers Cross. Ulster retained their under-18 title, holding off Munster (to whom they dropped their only points of the tournament in Friday's scoreless draw). Saturday's wins over South East (2-1) and Leinster (3-0) clinched the title for Ulster.
