Men's HockeyMills Cup holders Corinthians eased in to the last 16 of the competition yesterday with a 6-0 win over Weston at Whitechurch while Leinster League leaders Glenanneheld off the challenge of Monkstown, but only just - they won 2-1.

Trinity (2-0 winners over Suttonians), Bray (who beat UCD 5-2) and Fingal (7-0 winners over Naas) also advanced to the next round but Clontarf were made to work harder for their last-minute victory over Skerries on Saturday when John Smith (two) and Gordon Lindsey got their goals.
