Cork overwhelmed Glenmore with four goals in an opening half when their work was sharp and intensive. Billy Woods headed home after 20 minutes, George O'Callaghan added a second in the 24th minute and John O'Flynn smashed home two shots in the 33rd and 40th minutes.
Glenmore lost goalkeeper Philip Gray with a leg injury after 51 minutes and they were reduced to 10 men when James Dunne departed injured in the 59th minute when Glenmore had used their three subs.
O'Callaghan again netted in the 62nd minute while David Warren added another after 75 minutes. O'Flynn claimed a hat-trick from the penalty spot after 76 minutes. Colin P O'Brien scored a fine solo goal after 79 minutes and Woods completed the rout in the 83rd minute.
