MUNSTER U-21 HC / Cork 1-11 Clare 1-06: Cork had to wait a long time before getting the better of Clare in Limerick last evening.
Their opening score from Kieran Murphy was delayed until the 23rd minute, cancelling out a ninth-minute point from Tom O'Donovan. Cork's James Bowles grabbed a goal with Michael Cussen and Michael Naughton ensuring they went in 1-5 to 0-3 ahead at the interval.
Andrew Quinn and Paudie Collins revived Clare's challenge as Cyril Crowe scored a goal on 48 minutes to leave it 1-9 to 1-5. However, they were unable to build on the goal with defenders Shane Murphy and Ron McGregor snuffing them out.
