Women's Football Senior championships: All-Ireland champions Cork had an impressive 3-15 to 1-11 victory over Waterford in the TG4 Munster women's football championship at Dungarvan on Saturday night.

Two goals from Amanda Murphy gave Cork a 2-11 to 1-2 interval lead. Niamh Briggs scored Waterford's goal.

Caoimhe Creedon found the Waterford net in the second half to ensure victory for Cork.

Meath laid down a marker in the Leinster championship yesterday with a 2-19 to 3-8 victory over Dublin in Westmanstown. Meath led 1-9 to 2-4 at half-time thanks to a Gráinne Nulty goal.

Meath were rampant after the break and chalked up a huge score, the goal coming from the powerful Mary Sheridan.

In the Ulster championship yesterday, Armagh beat Donegal 3-15 to 2-3 in the quarter-final, first leg, at Clones.

The winners led 2-10 to 1-2 at half-time, their goals coming from Patricia McAvoy and Bronagh O'Donnell. Sheila Campbell got Donegal's goal.

The game was put beyond Donegal 11 minutes into the second half when Dervla Toal fired Armagh's third goal.

Donegal missed a penalty soon after but Nadine Doherty did score a late goal for them.
