Corrigan and Mullins move

Leinster captain Reggie Corrigan and Ireland and Munster centre Mike Mullins were probably the two most high-profile players to switch allegiances at club level for the forthcoming season.

Corrigan returns to the club of his youth, Greystones, following a number of seasons with Lansdowne but like his provincial and international colleagues it will be interesting to see how many games he chalks up in club colours during the next 10 months.

Mullins has made the short journey from Young Munster to fellow Limerick club Old Crescent and is joined in the switch by promising young wing Finbarr Hogan and scrumhalf Eoin Reddan.

Munster's only acquisition on the inter-club transfer list released by the IRFU is Garryowen and former Ireland under-21 flanker Conor Hartigan.

Ian Humphreys, younger brother of Irish outhalf David, has left Dungannon to join Ballymena. Barnhall will be without their cult hero Trevor Brennan as he has swapped Pearsonstown for the warmer climes of Toulouse.

Clontarf have recruited Leinster outhalf Andy Dunne from Old Belvedere, the latter welcoming back old-boy Peter McKenna from St Mary's College but losing scrumhalf Simon Keogh as he heads in the opposite direction. Former All Black Mike Brewer will ply his trade at Anglesea Road, having arrived via Italy.

Lansdowne have secured the services of promising young Carlow second row Ronan Bolger, while John O'Neill's Sunday's Well-Shannon-Sunday's Well trek sees him return to Shannon for a second time.
