TYRONE SFC: Champions Carrickmore made it through to another final when they pipped Dromore 0-10 to 1-6 in a repeat of last year's decider at Omagh yesterday.
Six Peter Loughran points helped them recover from a disastrous start, which saw them go five behind in the opening quarter.
In the end, they had to dig deep to protect a slender lead, but made it through in a dogged Healy Park encounter.
In the other semi-final, on Saturday, county star Peter Canavan was Errigal's driving force as they came from behind to force a replay as their clash with Omagh finished 0-12 each.
CORK SFC: Muskerry, the mid-Cork representative team, qualified for the county final for the first time in a decade after a 2-6 to 1-8 victory over Dohenys at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday.
Two early second-half goals from Pat Dunlea and Peadar Concannon proved decisive for the divisional side, though Denis Healy's goal ensured Dohenys were hanging on at the end. Dohenys led 0-5 to 0-4 at the break.
Muskerry will meet Nemo Rangers in Sunday's final after they defeated Aghada 0-13 to 0-9 on Saturday night.
KERRY SFC: After dominating the first half of Saturday's semi-final at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney, Dr Crokes had to rely on the skills of Colm Cooper to rescue his side from defeat against Laune Rangers as the sides finished at 1-10 each. The star forward scored 1-6 in all and the equaliser came from a free out near the touchline
GALWAY SHC: Portumna advanced to their third final in a row at Loughrea yesterday evening but only after goalkeeper Ivan Canning produced a stunning injury--time save to clinch a 0-18 to 1-12 win.
The 2003 champions and last year's runners-up were cruising to victory when Gort came with a late rally which produced a goal from Gerry Quinn in the final minute to reduce the margin to three points.
And then in stoppage time full-forward Paul Killilea burst through on goal but Canning advanced and produced a point-blank save to send them through to a final date against either champions Athenry or Loughrea.
Full-forward Johnny O'Loughlin inspired Loughrea to a 3-16 to 2-10 victory over Clarinbridge in their quarter-final replay at Athenry. The defeat ended the hopes of Alan Kerins, who inspired Salthill to success in the football final last week, of completing a rare double.
WEXFORD SHC: In a closely fought semi-final battle at Wexford Park yesterday, the championship's top scorer, Barry Lambert, added a goal to his already impressive tally of eight points as St Martin's edged out Buffers Alley on a 2-11 to 0-14 scoreline, and will now meet Oulart-the-Ballagh in Sunday's final.
WESTMEATH SHC: Two minutes into stoppage time at the end of an uninspiring final, Daniel Carty stroked over a superb point to earn a reprieve for Lough Lene Gaels against Castlepollard, as the sides finished level at 0-11 to 1-8.
Ahead 0-7 to 0-5 at the break, the Gaels were still two in front as the final whistle loomed when Seán McLoughlin raced on to a mighty Darren McCormack clearance to leave Mark Briody helpless in the Gaels goal. Then came Carty's intervention.
KERRY SHC: It may have taken a brave decision by the Lixnaw management team to start Kerry senior footballer stars Paul Galvin and Eamon Fitzmaurice who had been otherwise engaged all year but both starred in a 0-17 to 0-6 final replay victory at Austin Stack Park in Tralee yesterday.
CONNACHT CLUB SFC: Kiltubrid of Leitrim finished with a flourish with points by Nick O'Donoghue, Shane Foley and James Gill, to clinch a 0-9 to 0-4 victory over Sligo champions Coolera/Strandhill at Markievicz Park yesterday.
ULSTER CLUB SHC: Cushendall of Antrim brushed past Derry champions Banagher in yesterday's semi-final at Casement Park but the 2-8 to 0-7 scoreline slightly flatters the winners. They will meet Down kingpins Ballygalget, who had goalscorers in Stephen Clarke, Martin Coulter and Barry Coulter as they beat Ballycran 3-14 to 0-15 in the county final at Portaferry also yesterday.
LIMERICK: Joe Redington and Mossy McCarthy have been appointed as selectors to the Limerick senior football team under Kerry's Mickey Ned O'Sullivan.
Limerick county board chairman Denis Holmes confirmed that Liam Lenihan and Ger Cunningham had been reappointed as senior hurling selectors for 2006.
