Lest We Forget

GAC declined to summon Cork hurlers Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Donal Og Cusack or Dublin goalkeeper Davy Byrne for incidents that many felt merited rebuke. O'Sullivan struck Limerick's Brian Begley, Cusack wrapped his hurley around Tipperary's Paul Shelley in the process of dragging him down in the Munster final and Byrne ran 20 yards from goal to get involved in a fracas against Westmeath. Referees had taken action (yellow card, penalty and yellow card respectively) and will not be overruled.
