Racing: Trainer Brian Meehan has the Vodafone Oaks as the target for Crystal after her impressive success at Windsor last evening.
The daughter of Danehill only had to be pushed out by Michael Hills to beat Nietzsche and Gironde by one and three-quarter lengths and a length respectively in the windsor-racecourse.co.uk Maiden Stakes over 10 furlongs.
And the Lambourn trainer said: "She's a very, very good filly - real classy. We're pleased to get her maiden out of the way and we can get on now with thinking about the Oaks.
"The two races that come to mind for her before then are Lingfield (Oaks Trial) and Goodwood (Lupe Stakes). But we'll see, we might not even go the trial route.
"It was only her third run tonight and Michael said she hit the front and felt she had done enough.
"He gave her one flick and she stretched again and he said to me 'she's bolted up'.
"She'll appreciate the mile and a half and the experience of Windsor will do her good for Epsom and I couldn't be happier," he said. "She's the real thing."
