SCHOOLS HOCKEY: Setanta Sports will televise the semi-finals and final of this season's Leinster Schoolgirls Cup, the Irish Hockey Association (IHA) have announced. The semi-finals will be shown on Wednesday, February 8th (5pm and 9.35pm), with repeats over the next two days. The final is scheduled for Thursday, March 2nd, although the time of transmission has yet to be decided.

"We are delighted that Setanta is showing this commitment to schools sports and extending their coverage of Leinster schools rugby to include Leinster schools hockey," said IHA chief executive Paul Varian.

"Schools hockey matches are always full of excitement and we are delighted that the television viewing audience will have the opportunity to experience that."
