Dungarvan 1-12 Thurles CBS:Holders Dungarvan are one game away from a second successive Dr Harty Cup title after they prevailed against Thurles CBS at Fermoy on Saturday.
Críostóir Breathnach’s fortunate goal in the 24th minute helped to turn the game the way of the St Augustine’s College and Dungarvan CBS combination as they drew level at 1-4 to 0-7. With the impeccable free-taking of Patrick Curran helping to put them in the lead by half-time, 1-7 to 0-9, as Thurles found the going more difficult than they had earlier in the game.
Curran’s ninth point of the match left three points in it and Dungarvan’s hopes of a two-in-a-row remained intact.
