Tipperary 7-12 Waterford 1-01: Rampant Tipperary destroyed Waterford in wet and windy Fermoy yesterday evening. Three goals within the first quarter from star attacker Timmy Dalton (two) and Brian Jones got them off to a great start and they led at the interval by 4-7 to 1-1.
Waterford had no way back despite their 27th-minute goal from Mark Ferncombe which came against the run of play.
Without doubt Dalton was the star of the show for Tipp finishing with a total of 2-7.
