Munster Football/Kilmurray-Ibrickane 0-13 Drom Broadford 0-12: Johnny Daly set up a Munster club senior football semi-final clash for Kilmurry-Ibrickane against Kerry's best, when he knocked over the match-winning point from an injury-time free at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.

The Clare champions just about deserved the victory with the Limerick side failing to build on a half-time advantage of 0-10 to 0-6.

Drom shared the exchanges on the turnover, the difference was that they conjured a meagre two points, to seven from more proficient opposition.

Drom had promised to deliver with the opening point inside six minutes from Michael Reidy, but the Quilty lads had other thoughts and four on the trot from Peter O'Dwyer, Daly, Michael O'Dwyer and Odran O'Dwyer had them in a comfortable position at the end of the first quarter.

It was Drom's turn to apply the heat and after Seán Buckley, Ray Lynch and Dee O'Leary had brought them level at 0-6 each they proceeded to finish the half with Garreth Noonan, Jason Stokes, Pat Donnelly and Ray Lynch firing them in front.

The tide turned the other way on the change of ends with a hat-trick of points from Daly narrowing the gap.

Buckley brought some relief to the Limerick champions but Kilmurry-Ibricane showed greater skill and, more importantly, a huge desire to succeed. Michael Hogan and Enda Coughlan had the supporters from west Clare on the feet as the game was levelled at 0-11 apiece. It looked as if Drom-Broadford might nick it when Reidy was on target from a free. However, Kilmurry looked to Michael O'Dwyer, with the best point of the afternoon from near the touchline, to restore equality for the fifth time.

Then Drom conceded a free and Daly calmly stood up to give his side their ticket to the next stage.
