Mark Rohan

Road Cycling (H1 Road Race)

Brands Hatch, 10.30am

The last thing he said before leaving Brands Hatch on Wednesday was that he couldn’t wait to come back and tackle the road race, all 48km of it. Goes in as favourite to take gold, a stunning achievement if he manages it.

Jason Smyth

Athletics (T13 200m)

Olympic Stadium, 7.25pm

The only man to break 22 seconds in his qualifying heat, he did so by over half a second. No good reason to imagine he won’t follow up with his second gold of the Games tonight.

Ray O’Dwyer

Athletics (F32/33/34 Discus)

Olympic Stadium, 7.02pm

It’s been a tough first Paralympic experience for the 22-year-old from Kilkenny who hasn’t done himself justice in the javelin or shot putt so far. He’s better than he has shown and a PB here would be some redemption.

Catherine O’Neill

Athletics (F51/52/53 Discus)

Olympic Stadium, 10am

Carried an injury into her first event, the club throw, yet still managed a decent performance and fourth place. Should go close again here in a small field, given that she has good discus form stretching back over a decade.
