DUBLIN City University have introduced an innovative new course aimed at people who want to work in the sports industry. The B.Sc. Sport Science and Health is designed to develop a detailed understanding of the scientific aspects of sport and exercise.

The course has been tailored for those interested in science studied from a human perspective and who have an enthusiasm for sport and physical activity.

The course will have its own distinct flavour with major themes concentrating on health issues related to sport, including a specialist module in `Drugs in Sport' as well as Biomechanics and Psychology of Sport.

The difference between this course, which the college will start in the autumn, and others is that it comes out of the science end of the university with all graduates receiving a thorough scientific education.
