Charlton 1 Derby 0: Charlton deservedly took the points at the Valley against a managerless and toothless Derby side who look in dire trouble.

Chris Bart-Williams broke the deadlock with a direct free kick though a shambolic Derby wall 11 minutes from time.

Derby mounted only a couple of serious attacks, and the watching John Gregory must know he has a tough task if he takes over.
