LEAGUE OF IRELAND PREMIER DIVISION:Bray Wanderers 2 Derry City 1 - DERRY CITY missed the chance of catching St Patrick's Athletic in the race for second place in the Premier Division at the Carlisle Grounds last night, squandering a series of second-half chances.

Derry scored after two minutes when Mark Farren intercepted a backpass from Gavin Whelan and rounded goalkeeper Alan Gough to score. Bray levelled on 18 minutes when Colm Tresson headed to the net. Four minutes later Bray's Ger Rowe scored from 16 yards despite Gerard Dohery getting a hand to the ball, while Derry's Sammy Morrow missed a penalty in the 49th minute.
