Had Derry not spurned a host of chances victory would have been even more emphatic against an Antrim side who only managed a single score from play - their opening point in the 18th minute from Kevin Brady.
Ciarán Mullan, making his senior debut, kicked four first-half points as Derry stormed into a 0-6 to 0-3 half-time lead.
The second period was even more one-sided , with the experienced Seán Martin Lockhart and Niall McCusker providing Derry with solidity at the back, and Antrim never looked like mounting a comeback.
