Frankie Dettori has been in red-hot form as he throws down his challenge for the jockeys' title, and he can add to his tally with a double at Newmarket tonight.

The Italian will be on board the Godolphin duo of Imtiyaz and Elmustanser, and both look to having cracking chances.

Imtiyaz can atone for a couple of narrow seconds so far this season and get the confidence-boosting win he needs in the Bexhill Conditions Stakes.

The five-year-old has been highly-tried, but he was dropped to Listed level for his seasonal reappearance at Goodwood in May. He had to give weight to Kalaman there, but did well to finish three-quarters of a length behind the subsequent Eclipse third, despite looking in need of the run.

Imtiyaz looked ready to win on his next start at Epsom, but the ground there turned to the softer side and he met an improving horse in Fruhlingssturm.

Connections have opted for this race instead of a Group Three event on Saturday.

Dettori and trainer Saeed bin Suroor can take the Stuart And Dave's Handicap earlier on the card with Elmustanser.

The three-year-old is a brother to the top-class Almutawakel, and he lost his maiden tag at Newmarket last time when showing a cracking turn of foot to beat Fortune's Princess by a length and a quarter.

This will be his first handicap start but Elmustanser looks an improving horse and should be backed.
