Roscommon 1-14 Sligo 0-10:Conor Devaney and man-of-the-match Enda Kenny were the chief playmakers as Roscommon cruised to victory over Sligo at Markievicz Park on Saturday.
Roscommon got a dream start with points by Aidan Dooney and David O'Gara. Stephen Coen got Sligo off the mark after nine minutes but Roscommon led by 0-9 to 0-6 at half-time.
A defence-splitting move midway through the second half ended with Devaney blasting the ball to the Sligo net following good play by Kenny and David Hoey. This put the visitors seven points ahead and ended Sligo's hopes.
