Tipperary 0-12 Wicklow 0-10:WILD CELEBRATIONS greeted Tipperary's win at Nenagh yesterda. Not alone had they beaten Wicklow, they also gained promotion to Division Three at the expense of Antrim, who crashed to Waterford.

Corner-forward Brian Coen was the star for Tipperary, scoring 10 of their 12 points. Their victory was all the more notable because they played with 14 men for most of the game after Barry Grogan was sent off after eight minutes

Trailing by 0-9 to 0-4 at the break, Wicklow improved in the second half to narrow the gap to two points but there was always looseness in their play, which Tipperary exploited to full effect.

ANTRIM HAD a disastrous day at Casement Park as they were stunned by Waterford

Antrim needed to win to gain promotion and a place, along with Offaly, in the Division Four final but the northerners produced their worst display for quite some time as Waterford ran the home side ragged during the second half after trailing 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval.

Antrim only They scored only one point in the first 26 minutes of the second period as Waterford ran in 1-4 to take control. The goal was rifled home in the 51st minute by corner back Maurice O'Gorman, who finished off a sweeping raid.

Clare 2-13 London 1-12:

A DAVID HICKEY goal in the 61st minute clinched a deserved victory for Clare over London at Ruislip yesterday. The visitors, helped by a 15th minute goal from Michael O'Shea, led 1-10 to 1-4 at the interval. London battled back and an Aidan Dillane point left just two points between the sides after 24 minutes of the second half . However full forward Hickey's goal two minutes later finally decided the outcome.

Carlow 2-15 Kilkenny 3-4:

ERIC McCormack, the Carlow left full forward scored 2-4 as the Barrowsiders beat Kilkenny in a scrappy tie at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday. Carlow led 0-7 to 1-2 at half time, the Kilkenny goal coming from left full forward David Herity.

John Maher and Eddie Brennan scored the other Kilkenny goals.
