KERRY MANAGER Jack O’Connor has an added injury worry after Kieran Donaghy limped out of a trial game at the Fitzgerald Stadium on Friday with a groin strain as the Kingdom wind down preparations for Sunday’s Munster semi-final clash with Cork.
Donaghy, who was having a fine game at full forward with the A team, pulled up late on and immediately began treatment for what is believed to be a slight groin strain. His participation against Cork will not be known until later in the week when the full extent of his injury is known.
Paul Galvin did not train last week nor did he take part in the trial game and there is growing concern he may run out of time with ligament damage to his ankle being slow to heal.
Midfielder Niall Coleman has emerged as a doubt for Galway’s Connacht semi-final showdown against either Mayo or Sligo next month after suffering a leg injury playing for his club Annaghdown yesterday. The versatile Coleman had to leave the field after going down just after kicking a point.
