Donegal 0-14 Roscommon 1-9: Donegal completed their campaign undefeated as they held off a late Roscommon rally for a two-point win at Hyde Park. The defeat meant Roscommon missed out on joining Donegal in Division One next year.
The game was decided in the first half when the visitors, already promoted after beating Longford last Tuesday, made full use of the strong wind to open up a 10-point lead.
Christy Toye extended the lead 20 seconds after the restart yet Donegal wouldn't score again until the final minute of normal-time. The home team fought back bravely after the interval although they never looked like reeling in their opponents who eased up somewhat.
The home team's hopes suffered a further blow when Brian Higgins was sent-off for a second bookable offence in the 53rd minute.
There endeavour was, however, rewarded two minutes into injury-time when John Rogers scored a goal but it came too late to change the course of the match.
