Eastern Harps 0-12 Coolrea/Strandhill - 08:SLIGO/SF Final Replay: Sean Dorraintook the scoring honours as Eastern Harps coasted to a comfortable four-point win over Coolera/Strandhill in what was a mediocre Sligo senior football championship final replay at Markievicz Park on Saturday.
Dorrian, who gave a man-of-the-match performance, scored seven of the winners' points, including four from frees, as the Harps regained the Owen B Hunt Cup after a lapse of five years.
Coolera/Strandhill had been strongly fancied to win a title they last held in 1907, but their best efforts, particularly in the second half, weren't enough to stop a determined Harps side.
A superb save by Peter Walsh in the Eastern Harps goal in the 57th minute kept out a goal-bound shot by substitute Mark Howley, when four points were separating the teams.
Kieran Quinn had opened the scoring with a fifth-minute Coolera point from a free, but the seasiders scored only once from play in the half, when county player John McPartland pointed after 26 minutes.
Fifteen minutes had elapsed before Dorrian opened Harps account from a free.
Coolera failed to raise a flag from the 26th minute to the end of the half.
Three unanswered points by Dorrian, a couple in stoppage-time, at the end of the half, put Harps 0-5 to 0-2 ahead at the interval.
McPartland opened Coolera's second half scoring after two minutes but they were unable to get closer than a couple of points.
