Seamus Downes from the Stackallen club in Meath will captain the Irish Pitch and Putt side against Catalonia at the Irish Glass Bottle Club from July 22nd to 24th. Downes will be joined by the current National Champion Niall Cuffe (Kilbeggan), three times matchplay champion Sean Harkin (St Bridget's), Derry McCarthy (Deerpark, Killarney), Hubert Kelly (Loughlinstown), Conor O'Hare (Cloghogue), Dennis Monaghan (Shandon), Ray Murphy (Templebreedy), Geraldine Ward (Portmarnock) and Marian Byrne (St Bridget's), while the team will be managed by Frank Smith of IGB. Play starts at 10 a.m. on the Saturday.
