St Peter's 5-6 St Kieran's 0-20:LEINSTER COLLEGES SHC: Two goals from centre-forward Michael Doyle handed St Peter's College a shock victory over reigning provincial champions St Kieran's College in their Leinster Colleges' SHC A game at Power Park, Wexford, yesterday.
St Kieran's controlled the opening 30 minutes, at the end of which they led 0-10 to 1-2. The St Peter's goal had come from a Stephen Nolan penalty which kept them in contention.
By the end of the third quarter St Kieran's still looked in command, leading 0-16 to 2-4, but it was Doyle who resurrected the game for the homeside with a late brace of goals to break the St Kieran's monopoly on proceedings.
