LEINSTER COLLEGES SH A: Dublin North 1-19 Dublin South 3-11:DUBLIN NORTH survived a late rally from their Southern counterparts to win yesterday's Leinster Colleges SH 'A' second round clash at Parnell Park.

Dublin North welcomed back marquee forwards Ciarán Kilkenny and Cormac Costello for the first time and the duo combined as Costello doubled on a ball for a goal after 15 minutes. Paul Doherty and Tom Devlin both impressed in Dublin South’s forward line but they trailed 1-10 to 0-9 at the interval. Dublin North added four points without replay before Naoise Greene pulled a goal back for the South.

Frees from top scorer Paul Winters helped Dublin North pull away but Dublin South finished very strongly with late goals from Greene and Roche (penalty).
