Boxing: New IBA middleweight champion John Duddy could fight again before Christmas, but he will not box on the Wladimir Klitschko/Calvin Brock undercard at Madison Square Garden on November 11th.
Derry-born Duddy, now fighting out of the Irish Ropes in New York, had been pencilled in to fight at the Garden. But the 27-year-old has been pulled out of the bout after receiving stitches to cuts over both eyes in last Friday's win over Mexican Yory Boy Campas in New York.
According to promoter Eddie McLoughlin, an appearance on a Ricky Hatton undercard in Atlanta early in the New Year is an option.
"John is going on vacation for a week and after that we will sit down and look at our options," McLoughlin said.
