DUKE OF Marmalade will attempt to follow in the footsteps of Dylan Thomas, and break his Group One duck in the process, by winning tomorrow's Prix Ganay at Longchamp.

John Murtagh travels to France to ride Aidan O'Brien's colt who will be joined by his stable companion Red Rock Canyon (David McCabe) in the ten-and-a-half-furlong event. Dylan Thomas was an easy winner of last year's Ganay but this looks a stronger renewal with Group One opposition such as Zambezi Sun, Mrs Lindsay and Saddex as well as the British-trained mare, Anna Pavlova.

With Murtagh in France, Séamus Heffernan will be on board Yeats when the star-stayer has his first start of the season in tomorrow's Vintage Crop Stakes.

Yeats won this easily last year but could have to work harder this time with the Listed winner Red Moloney in opposition.
