Leading Irish novice chaser Nick Dundee is continuing his good recovery from surgery at the Ridgeway Valley Equine Hospital in Lambourn.
The Edward O'Grady-trained seven-year-old was operated on last Tuesday after sustaining a serious injury to his fetlock joint when falling at the third last fence in the Royal and SunAlliance Novices' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
Paul Ferguson, one of the vets involved, yesterday said: "Nick Dundee is good - so far so good. He is making slow but consistent improvement from his surgery.
"We are keeping a careful eye that he's comfortable on his three limbs which are supporting his weight. Not all big horses can do that but he's coping well."
Nick Dundee was judged to be the rising star of Irish racing before his career-threatening injury.
Meanwhile, Make No Mistake, Dermot Weld's Royal Whip Stakes winner, is among eight entries in the Group Two Prix d'Harcourt (10f) at Longchamp on Sunday. The Irish raider is the sole foreign entry in a list completed by Barbola, Blushing Risk, Epistolaire, Dark Moondancer, Sestino, Moteck and Sayarshan.
Barbola won France's first group race of the season, the Prix Exbury, in good style.
