With Irish Schools international out-half Andrew Dunne orchestrating affairs, the Whites had demoralised the Blues by half-time in this Leinster schools trial at Donnybrook yesterday.

Although Dunne's place kicking was somewhat suspect, his distribution was sharp and incisive. Prop Colm McMahon, second-row Diarmuid Ryan and back-row players Andrew Cullen and Simon Miller were also to the forefront of matters as the Blues were forced to put up a strenuous rearguard action.

This evened up somewhat in the second-half, with James Norton finishing well on the right wing.
