After their marathon three-match duel with Rathnew, Dunshaughlin discovered they had nothing left in the tank and were easily beaten by Kildare champions Moorefield at Navan on Saturday. Some soft goals made it more difficult for the Meath side and Moorefield substitute Brian McGrogan made the most of goalkeeping errors to score two goals midway through the second half.
Dunshaughlin also had to play without Richie Kealy (injured) and Niall Kelly (suspended) but they were well placed at halftime when they trailed 0-4 to 0-2 having faced the wind. But they were overrun after the break with Patrick Behan's goal in the first minute opening the floodgates.
