GMIT 0-11; UL 0-6: Two excellent long-range points by Kildare's Dermot Earley helped GMIT to victory at Caherlistrane, Co Galway yesterday. GMIT enjoyed a productive period between the 22nd and 28th minute when they scored four points through Earley (two), Alan Burke and Cathal Gibbons.

Trailing 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time, UL restarted well with two points by Damian O'Brien. However, GMIT scored three vital points in the last six minutes from Damian Burke.
