Eddery gets the all clear

PAT EDDERY has been given the go ahead to ride on today's opening day of the Newmarket Craven meeting.

Eddery injured his back leaving the stalls on the Richard Hannon trained two year old Eleventh Duke at Nottingham on Friday but went on to ride Dancing Cavalier to victory for Reg Hollinshead in the concluding race.

The 10 times champion jockey scored aboard 8 to 11 shot Rising of The Moon in Warwick's opener on Saturday but sat out the rest of the afternoon after suffering a recurrence of the problem.

Eddery saw chiropractor Andrew Ferguson in London yesterday morning and his agent Terry Ellis said: "Pat is fine he's been given the all clear and will be riding tomorrow."
