Éire Óg 0-15 Palatine 0-5:ÉIRE ÓG are Carlow senior football champions for the 27th time after they outclassed a poor Palatine side yesterday at Dr Cullen Park.

Éire Óg built their lead steadily while playing into the wind , establishing an unflattering 0-7 to 0-4 interval lead. They were content to pick off their points in the second half with right-half forward Bryan Carbery leading the way with three superb scores from play.
