Vengeful England have the ideal situation to ambush Australia at Twickenham in November, Wallabies rugby captain John Eales said yesterday.

In contrast to the limp squad that was thrashed 76-0 by the Australians in Brisbane in June, English coach Clive Woodward has unveiled a powerful squad brimming with players absent from the Ballymore fiasco for the return Cook Cup match on November 14th.

Among those included are former skipper Lawrence Dallaglio, centres Jeremy Guscott, Will Greenwood and Phil de Glanville, half-backs Mike Catt, Paul Grayson and Kyran Bracken, and forwards Neil Back, Richard Hill and Lions captain Martin Johnson.

They were among 18 topliners who opted not to tour the Southern Hemisphere after pressure from their clubs at the end of their domestic season.

"Obviously, they've brought back in a lot of their big names and they're recognised as their better players, so it's going to be very, very hard at Twickenham," Eales said yesterday.

Also working against the Wallabies is a string of injuries, with full back Matt Burke (shoulder) and winger Damian Smith (wrist) ruled out.
