England v Italy Tomorrow, 3.0 England are without 13 players tomorrow against Italy at Twickenham, but still field eight Lions and no new caps, while Italy's replacement for outhalf Diego Dominguez is Ramiro Pez from England side Rotherham.

England head coach Clive Woodward is unperturbed about the injuries picked up in the first two rounds which deprive him of such pivotal players as Jason Robinson, Ben Cohen, Neil Back and Martin Johnson.

"The strong team we are able to pick for Italy reflects the healthy state of English rugby," he said. "I am a bit confused now about who my first-choice players are and that is a good sign in a busy year."

Italy conceded 80 points two years ago, but Woodward is not envisaging another one-sided romp as England look to improve on the first two matches which, though resulting in victories over France and Wales, yielded only three tries.

"The days of cricket scores against Italy are over," he said. "John Kirwan has changed the way they play. They used to be a static side, but now they play at a quicker tempo and are far more fluid. They will also be probably the most physical team we face this tournament and we will have to match their directness."

Italy's best hope is that England take victory for granted, but, with competition for places so intense, such complacency is unlikely.
