Ireland's three-day eventing team manager Helen Cantillon-O'Keeffe is confident she could have the team in Sydney that could finally break the Irish Olympic duck in the equestrian events, reports Grania Willis from Sydney.

"I'm quietly confident", she said at the equestrian venue in Horsley Park after yesterday's horse inspection. "I hope I'm not too confident, but they've all been working brilliantly. If we're clear and in the time across country, that's a medal."

The Irish team of Olympic debutantes Susan Shortt, Trish Donegan and Nicki Cassidy, plus Atlanta veteran Ginny McGrath, will all take part in an official team course walk today, when final decisions will be made about the routes to be taken at the fences.
